Ukraine's commander in chief General Zaluzhnyi has warned that the war could go to a “stalemate”. Ukraine’s counteroffensive strategy has deemed to have failed.
Ukraine’s counteroffensive plane was t take back parts of the country but because of autumnal weather turning "the rolling steppe into a sea of mud" the war has turned back into a static. Any new attempt of taking back from Russia could be delayed until April.
It has been said that during this stalemate this will mean Russia will have the upper hand, this is because they have the manpower and resources.
Zelensky wants his allies to be realistic on what they can achieve but doesn’t want to destroy all hope on both sides.
